Learning English while young gives children the advantage and the right foundation that stays with them all their lives. With good English skills, students can study or work in an international environment almost anywhere in the world and are confident of themselves.

Planet EDU-Extralearn believes that it is very important to provide the right foundation to a child in their early years of study. Accordingly, we have developed, solutions that will be suitable to school students starting from class 1 and going all the way upto to class 12. All students will undergo a Cambridge English exam and will receive a certificate from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL)

The table below provides the name of the Cambridge English exam that is suitable at different class levels and an indicative exam preparation time required before the Cambridge English exam

Class 6 and 7 Curriculum integrated with about 15–20 hrs of exam preparation KET for schools
Class 8 Curriculum integrated with about 15–20 hrs of exam preparation PET for schools
Classes 9 and 10 Curriculum integrated with about 20– 25 hrs of exam preparation FCE for schools
Classes 11 and 12 25 – 40 hrs of exam preparation CAE (this exam also earns student 70 UCAS tariff point of they receive an ‘A’ grade, which helps in UK University admissions)

Implementation plan

Planet EDU-ExtraLearn works with the schools to implement Cambridge English @ schools. There are various methods to choose from:

  • Teachers of the school trained and certified by Planet EDU-ExtraLearn, who will in turn train the students. Course outline, recommended books, Resources for teachers, Past papers etc. will all be provided by Planet EDU-ExtraLearn to the teachers to assist them with the implementation of the Cambridge English
  • We also offer services of external teaching experts, through one of our nearest Learning Centre, to visit your school to train the students on Cambridge English exam preparation, as per a pre-approved schedule and during school hours.
